The Loop Workshop with a Construction Equipment Manufacturer's Digital Services Team

Picture this: A room full of creative minds, all geared up to change the game for heavy mining equipment. We dove into a workshop with a clear goal – to make the driver's seat in mining vehicles not just a chair, but a powerhouse of comfort and tech. We split into teams, each taking a deep dive into what makes a cabin tick – from the seat angles to the dashboard layout.

The workshop was all about asking the big questions. What does the operator need? How can we make their work less of a grind and more efficient? We sketched out problems on sticky notes, tossed them onto boards, and played around with ideas in a round-robin of brainstorming.

We didn't stop there, though. Every idea got put through the wringer of 'What's it worth?' and 'How hard is it to do?'. We marked them on grids, aiming for the sweet spot of high impact, low effort. Some ideas were gold; others needed more bake time.

Then came the fun part – building on the best thoughts like adding layers to a cake. We called it 'starbursting' – taking a core idea and exploding it out into something bigger, something smarter. And to wrap it all up, we detailed these ideas into plans that could really work out in the field.

In the end, what we had was more than just a bunch of concepts. It was a roadmap to cabins that could change the daily grind for operators into a better, safer ride. And that's what we were all about – turning a good idea into a new reality, one workshop at a time.
